A Bountiful Harvest

Ezekiel 36:9

“For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.”

We’ve become a generation of avid consumers. The massive amount of information we seed into our minds from the internet and social media is proof enough. It’s no secret that what we sow into ourselves is what we reap. If we want to be fruitful, we must pay attention to what is sown into our minds on a daily basis.

Today’s verse is God’s promise to the nation of Israel, but it’s one we can easily claim for ourselves because it aligns with the rest of Scripture. God promises that He is for you – He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will turn to you – He is always on your side. The Lord’s love for you is so great that He will not leave you as you are. If you let Him, He will plow through your heart and sow His good seed in it.

When you allow God to reign in your life, some hard things may happen. But remember that the deep furrows a farmer creates when he plows a field are essential for the seed to settle in deep and bear a good harvest. When you bury God’s Word in your heart, spend time in His presence, and open your mind to learn from Him, you can be sure that you will bear fruit in your life that’ll turn out for your good and His glory.
