A Faithful God

1 Thessalonians 5:24   He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

When Abraham was an idol maker in Haran, the Lord said to him,

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.                                                                                                                        I will make you a great nation;                                                                                                                       I will bless you. – Genesis 12:1-2

Abraham left Haran and moved towards the land that the Lord had chosen for him, with God’s vision in mind and powerful promises in heart.

Along the way, the Lord blessed him immensely with unimaginable wealth. There was nothing that could stop him from getting blessed.

Though he was living a very blessed life, he did not have any children of his own. He was about 100 years old before the Lord fulfilled His promise to birth a great nation from Abraham’s seed.

Decades may pass, but our God won’t forget His promise!

When we follow God’s vision, He will do the miraculous to keep His promises. Though it may cause some discomfort to us – as it did to Abraham, when he left his country – the end result will certainly be worth the effort.

The Lord is faithful to those who are faithful to Him.

    2 Timothy 2:11-13

This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
