Acts 10:43
“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
All the events starting from the birth of Jesus up until His crucifixion has been prophesied in the old testament of the holy bible by many prophets like Isaiah, Zechariah and some others. Our Lord, Jesus Christ was born and crucified and these prophesies were fulfilled. However, the question remains as to why did the Almighty God who is the creator of everything that has breath and ever so powerful, become flesh, suffer for our sins and die on the cross?
Our Father in Heaven is the embodiment of unconditional love. He loves us because He created us. When God saw that the sins of the world were increasing, and the entire eternity that God created so beautifully was being endangered by evil and dark forces, He took it upon Himself to rescue us by paying the price.
He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to suffer for our sins and bless us with a new lease of life void of all sins. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have remission of sin, as only He has the authority to pardon our trespasses.
If you believe in the name of Jesus, your sins are already forgiven and you have been made new. Sin has no dominion over you because the one who lives within you has defeated all forces of darkness and overcome the world. Our dear Father in Heaven, through Jesus, gave us hope in a hopeless situation and here we are today, walking boldly with our heads held high because of what was done at the cross.
