Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Committing our ways to the Lord means to yield ourselves wholly to Him. It also means to cast our burden on Him. When we give ourselves and our plans and desires completely over to God, He will establish our thoughts or will bring our desires to pass.
Whatever we care to do in our life, our works, our path of life, the route that we have embraced, etc., the writer of this verse in the Book of Proverbs exhorts us to give it all to God. When we have a lifestyle of committing our everything to God through fervent prayer and unshakable faith, God will do whatever He chooses to do for us. We know without a shadow of doubt that God will do everything good for them who love Him. When we honor God by allowing Him to take control of our life, He will honor us by granting our petitions if they are in line with His word. While some godless people do not want to acknowledge God in their ways, let all those who respect God and fear Him commit their works or ways to Him.
After you have done it all, i.e., handing over your plans, your desires, your life, your work, your relationships, ideas, etc., into the hands of the Lord Jesus, you can rest assured that a good lawyer is working on your case and needs. If you have not handed your life over to God, there needs no more waiting. Go ahead and give it all to the one who loves you.
