1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Today’s verse emphasises God’s faithfulness as the cornerstone of Christian life. It states that God calls believers into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ, and He Himself sustains them till the very end.
God loves us so intensely, and He chose us in Christ before the world existed. He saw us joined with Christ even before we were born. Through Christ, He redeemed us, purchased us from the captivity of sin, and enabled a relationship with Him. God made us righteous in Christ; therefore, we have a right standing before Him.
When we truly understand our identity in Christ, it changes the way we see things. As we recognise what we have in Him and the future He has prepared for us, it transforms not only our lives but also our perspective. We no longer fight life’s battles by relying on our own strength.
During times of difficulty, fear, or uncertainty, we should remember that God remains faithful. He never changes or contradicts His own nature. God works in our lives in ways that bring Him glory. He uses every situation for our good.
God’s faithfulness becomes a safe and dependable foundation for us. It gives us, His children, a place of protection and rest. Because of this, we can come before the Almighty with bold confidence. His steadfast love never ceases, and His mercies never run out. They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.
Prayer: Father, I come before You with a heart full of praise and gratitude, as You are faithful, constant, and true. You remain steady, and Your promises never fail. In moments of fear or uncertainty, You remain my place of refuge. I lift my voice, my heart, and my life in praise to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
