NOT CLEANSED WITH ALCOHOL

James 4:8– “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

Literally speaking we cannot come more near to God than we already are, we would not resist His Glory and Power. When Moses asked the Lord to show him His Glory, the Lord replied saying “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But, “he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live…and He let Moses only see His Glory pass by.” (Exodus 33:19-21).

So, how can we draw near to God? In spirit, through our prayers, connecting the spirit within us with His spirit. Looking up to Jesus, whom some had the privilege to be literally near.

But why would we need to clean our hands and how would we do this? Definitely not with what the planet has been using lately to keep hands clean everywhere: Not with alcohol.
Our cleansing is only through the precious blood of Jesus. His blood cleanses our hands from all our iniquities, our sins – and not only our hands, but our hearts, our minds, our soul gets clean!

And why should we not be double-minded, confused, tossed in different directions, following wrong opinions, listening to “worldly” advice? In order to follow God, and live by His standards – not the world’s.

So, try drawing near to God, or rather, stand still, feel His presence, know that He has never left you, know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10).
