Praise the Lord!!!

Psalm 111:1“Praise the Lord!  I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.”

Praise the Lord is a greeting among believers in some parts of the world which should not be taken for granted as merely a greeting like ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’, but taken seriously as an act of awe and worship to our God.

In the NIV version, the word used is ‘extol’, which means: to praise enthusiastically. Certainly praise is contagious.  Even in our secret place of worship to our Lord, as heartfelt and pure as can be, our praise reaches a higher level of connection and surrender when we as a congregation praise Him together.

With our hearts entirely focused and seeking our Lord, His presence, the call quickens and it urges and invites the Holy Spirit to become manifest in that moment.  Together, with one heart united, shouting, praising His holy name, thanking Him for all His goodness, mercy and love, we can’t help but shout even more, jump, dance, fall down, cry, laugh!  What can excite the Holy Spirit more than our praises?

Together as a congregation, as one, in the sanctuary, before our Lord, shouting praises to Him, inviting His presence, in awe and adoration, lifting His name higher and higher, inviting the presence of angels, letting go off all that restrains us — supernatural, incredible, unexplainable, marvelous things happen! Healings happen, deliverances happen, transformations happen, salvation happens!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

Where The Spirit of the Lord is, there is light!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, darkness has to flee!

To Him belongs eternal praise. (Psalm 111:10).  Amen!
