The Lord Is With You

Yet now be strong… says the Lord, ‘and be strong… all you people of the land,’ says the Lord, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ says the Lord of hosts. Haggai 2:4

As humans, we all engage in some sort of work. Every work which is worth doing or that gives us great results is often the most challenging and difficult. This could be a ministry, secular work, studying or training for a sport. Every level will have new and tougher challenges. We may be the only ones that believe in the success of the project and everyone around us may be causing us pain and discouragement

For many of us studying may be difficult. Just the thought of sitting in front of a book may feel like torture. For some, it may be a difficult job that does not give us much mental satisfaction or financial gain. The very thought of going back to work on Monday could be depressing. Some may be church leaders who may feel that their ministry or church may not be growing. Most of us go through these battles in our minds.

The scripture above reminds us to remember these principles

Be strong
Keep working
He is with us

So, when things are out of our control in different areas of our lives, we just need to be strong, keep pushing ourselves even when it is difficult. Work through our pain and struggles. Even when we don’t see the results, we just need to keep working the right way. Finally, remember there is a God who is with us in our struggles and pain to lead us into victory
