THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT

Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Paul prays for Ephesians that they might know the power of the Holy Spirit working in their lives doing for them what they could not do for themselves. He is not just saying “Be strong” just like how we tell people in their difficult times. Paul is saying, “Be strong in the Lord”.

Many of us are weak in ourselves, but our strength comes from the Lord.

Paul declared that he would glory in his weaknesses that the power of God might be revealed in Him. You are in your most vulnerable state when you think that you are strong enough to handle the temptation or situation without the help of the Lord.

Difficulty must be measured by the capacity of the representative or person doing the work. But, when God is your representation, any talk of difficulty is absurd.

When Sarah heard the Lord tell Abraham that they were going to have a son, she laughed at the thought of something as incredible and impossible as that.  The angel then said, it is not a matter of your strength or weakness; it is a matter of His strength, “The power of His might.”

The question then is “Can God do it?” When we say and believe that God can do it, we have taken the first step on the path to victory from impossibility. Abraham the man of faith, believed that what God had promised shall come to past. He saw the promise accomplish in His life. Be strong in the Lord and trust the power of His might.

      Dear Sister Miriam,
We are so glad to know that this scripture/devotional brought great encouragement to your life. We pray that God will lead your son into the “good” future that He has already planned for him according to Jeremiah 29:11.

      Blessings!
