Psalm 37:6
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
Arun worked the early shift at a café. Cash went missing, and suspicion fell on him. Instead of arguing, he prayed, did his job, and kept slipping encouraging notes with coffee orders. A week later, security cameras revealed the real culprit. The owner publicly apologized and promoted Arun, applauding his kindness despite the pressure. When the announcement ended, the morning sun shone through the shop window, illuminating the counter where Arun stood.
The psalmist David encourages us to rest assured that the righteous will be vindicated. How can we ensure we fall in the righteous category? What does it entail? According to scripture, we are made righteous in the eyes of God by the blood of Jesus. Through His death and resurrection, and our acceptance of that free gift, our sins are forgiven, and God sees us as righteous.
Our lives must follow through on the decision by partnering with God to live righteously. The Bible lays it out clearly for us. The choice to pursue righteousness is ours to make. Proverbs 21:21 says – One who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness, and honour. Furthermore, 1 Timothy 6:11 exhorts us to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
When faced with adversity, choose to remain steadfast in Christ. Dawn begins with the faintest ray of light; still, no force can hold back sunrise. Your task is to keep brewing faithfulness. God will set the clock. When noon finally strikes, He doesn’t merely clear your name but elevates you!
Watch tomorrow’s sunrise, and as the brightness grows, declare Psalm 37:6 out loud!
