What happens if /when we fail?

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, know that Jesus is in you, except ye be reprobates.

David walked in faith until he stumbled and fell into temptation. He walked with the spirit of the Lord. He was an obedient soldier of the Lord. What happened when he fell? What happened when he failed? Did he give up? Did he not go on his knees and ask the Lord of his forgiveness? Did he not sing songs unto the Lord and reach a place stronger than before? We only read the word as it is without at times understanding the true intent of it. Failure in his walk did not allow him to stop walking with the Lord; his walk became more persistent. He reached a different level with the Lord. Why? Because he did not allow anyone and anything to come in between his love and commitment he had for Jesus. Before he fell into the pit he walked with the Lord, after he was taken out he did not leave the Great I am. He kept going, even at times when he did not know where he was going. He did not have a destination in the world. His destination was knowing the Lord more and more. Jesus called out to him and every time even when he was in ‘ sin’ he knew that the one who had spoken life unto him in the pit, in prison and now in adultery – Jesus will not give up.

Jesus will never give up – IF YOU DON’T GIVE UP ON HIM.
