And when you make a decision to dedicate your child to the Lord\, you are placing your little soul in His hands\, asking Him to fill you with His divine wisdom that would help you to bring up your child in the ways of the Lord. \nParents are encouraged to follow up this important commitment by living a lifestyle that would glorify God before their kids\, earnestly praying for the child and bring them up according to the Bible. \nFAQs\n1. Why should I get my child dedicated?\nDedicating your child is a mark of thanks to God for entrusting you with a precious life. In a manner\, it is surrendering into the Hands of God\, the child He has blessed you with. In this ceremony\, you are making a commitment to bring up your child according to the ways of the Lord in line with the Bible. \n2. Is there a criteria for dedicating my child?\nBoth parents have to be baptised believers in order to dedicate the child. \n3. How do I get my Child dedicated?\nPlease fill in the online Child Dedication Form (link) or contact the Church office for further details. \n4. When does the Child dedication Ceremony happen?\nChild dedication ceremonies happen on the first sunday of every alternative month starting with January\, all parents who have decided to dedicate their children come together. \n5. At what age should I dedicate my child?\nThe preferable and ideal age for dedication would be within the first year of your child’s life. However\, age is no barrier. \n6. What should my child wear?\nThere is no specific dress code. However\, just as every other ceremony where white is considered appropriate\, you may choose what your child is most comfortable in. \n7. Can I invite guests?\nSure\, you are most welcome to invite anyone to celebrate this joyous occasion with you and your family. Please do intimate the office well in advance of the number of people expected. \n8. Can I organize the refreshments and decor privately?\nThe Church organizes the entire event including the venue\, refreshments and decor for all dedications happening at the same time. However\, you could arrange for a private celebration at any other venue of your choice. \n9. How long is the Dedication ceremony?\nThe Child dedication ceremony is generally complete in about an hour. \n10. Is there a certification?\nYes.
