Psalm 116:2: Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
God inclines His ear when His children speak to Him in prayer. The psalmist here says that He loves the Lord because He has heard his voice and his supplication. If you get an answer for your prayer, your faith level goes high that you tend to start believing in God for greater things in your life.
Incline means to bend forward or to lean or slope. Whenever we pray to God, God inclines His ear to listen to us. It means he intends to listen carefully to what we ask of Him and He will do it if it is the right time for it to be done. So whenever we feel that some things are not happening like how we wanted it to be, it simply means that God listened to our prayer but has put those things on hold. He does it because He feels that it is not the right time. Do we give up praying just because He did not answer? No, let us, like the psalmist, say that as long as I live, I will call upon Him simply because He listened to what I asked of Him. How long should we just keep on asking? Keep on asking until you receive it.
God’s word says knock and the door shall be opened unto you, so keep on knocking. Call upon God. He never is tired of listening to our supplication. Make known your requests to God. Pray without ceasing. Stay connected to God in your spirit throughout the day no matter where you are or what you do. Let Him be the center of your life that He will incline His ear unto you whenever you call upon Him.
