1 Peter 5:10 – “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
Sometimes, we like to believe that as long as we follow Christ, we shouldn’t have any problems at all. But that is highly unlikely. As long as we are in the world, we will have trouble. But the good news is, we don’t have to face our trials alone. God presence is with us and He gives us His wisdom, grace and strength to make it through.
In today’s verse, Peter reminds us that our suffering is only for a little while while. God may allow trials in your life, but He will also use it to purify your character, strengthen your faith and prepare you for eternity with Him. And after a little while, God Himself will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you. Encourage yourself with God’s Word during your affliction, and you will see His hand guiding you into a glorious future.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your grace that’s carrying me through my trials. Help me always rely on you and trust that you will establish me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
