John 3:36
You can see and yet cannot see; hear and yet not be able to listen.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
Are we serious about the living Lord? Do we know who we are worshipping? Do we understand that in following him lies no perfection? Rather it is only when we allow him to break us will we shine and know how to live life and live it to the fullest.
Breaking and pruning stem from the fact that there is something much more enriching at the end. Sometimes in this journey for whatever reasons we decide to walk with the Lord, we fall short of the commitment it requires. The snares of the world or the ridicule of the Pharisees and Sadducees take over in the form of friends or acquaintances. The world itself stands in the way of accomplishing the will of the Lord for his kingdom. The kingdom does not only belong to those who know Jesus but it also belongs to all of those tax collectors, the prostitutes, the ragged, the wayward wife or the drunkard husband. It belongs to the true heart of the one who decides to believe not in miracles but the heart of the Lord.
The heart of the Lord. Know his heart and not his hands. If we try and know his heart he will touch us with his hands. He will drench us in his love and grace and his shadow of his being will rest in us where power, might, and truth will reign in our lives.
