Commit your works to the LORD, And your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3

We often desire many things without truly understanding whether the outcome will be good for us or bad. But things begin to change when you get God involved in your desires. Committing your work to the Lord means stepping back from what you think and want and asking what God wants. And that means from the tiniest to the mightiest tasks. It means allowing Him to tell us what success and failure look like. When you commit your work to the Lord, you will find yourself doing what matters the most. You will do it efficiently and peacefully, and avoiding the wrong things will become easier. The right people and circumstances start falling into place when God gets involved.

That does not mean that you lose control or that it is so easy that you can lay it on God and relax on a beach. Abraham charged his servant with the formidable task of finding a bride for his son Isaac. The servant did not rely on his experience or connections but committed his work to God and found a bride according to God’s plan. He still had to work for it. But the task became easier for him to succeed at.

What are you struggling with today? Are you chasing after success you aren’t sure if it is good or bad for you? Commit it to the Lord, and you will have success guaranteed.
