“When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son,born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
Galatians 4:4-5
Galatians 4:4-5 is a beautiful gospel of Jesus Christ, preached by Paul.
In the previous verse, Paul talks about a wealthy son, who remains without freedom until he receives an inheritance. In reference to that, Paul insists that we no longer need to wait to inherit the Kingdom of God. We are not under the law; Jesus paid for us on the cross and got us into God’s family.
Jesus was born into a Jewish family; he was born “under the law.” The Lord Jesus was the only human being ever to keep the law perfectly. In doing so, he declared that he had “fulfilled” the law (Matthew 5:17) and He satisfied all of its requirements, then died on the cross to pay for our sins (Galatians 3:13). Paul says that the date has come for those who were under the law, that it is not law but faith alone will save us. Faith will open the doors to the abundance of blessings that the Lord has for each one of us.
The Bible reminds us that there is a time and a season for everything under heaven. This means that when God has planned it, things happen when they are supposed to, and nothing ever catches God by surprise. We need to believe in the fullness of time. Not our timings, but His timings. Until the day arrives, we need to rejoice that the Lord is watching over us. He paid the price for us, so we could be free. Let us have faith and live in victory.
