For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, Who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10
How many times have we trusted someone and been let down? Unfortunately, the number is more than what we’d like it to be. Sometimes, words are broken out of choice. Like a marriage proposal, you were so sure of until came a better suitor who could provide what you could not. Ouch! At times words are broken out of unavoidable circumstances. Having to be laid off due to the company downsizing, or the mother who breathed her last and could not see you graduate. Broken promises are painful. They often leave a void in us. A brink in the wall that makes us immune to trusting.
Thankfully, “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) and this is a fact. So when God says something, we can hang up our boots and know, it will come to pass.
Though impossible seems the situation. It will happen. The medical report may seem like a mountain that you cannot cross; The job may be like an ocean that you cannot understand, but you, be faithful to God. Let His Word abide in you and you in Him. He loves you beyond your comprehension, and His kindness, His covenant of peace, and His mercy will never fail you. They are here to stay with you forever. That’s God’s promise.
Amen. Thank you Jesus for your promises are ever faithful and new every morning.
