Psalm 57:10-11
“For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and Your truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be above all the earth.”
David wrote these words during a tough time. He was hiding from his enemies, but instead of focusing on his problems, he focused on God’s love and faithfulness. He saw that God’s mercy is so great that it reaches up to the heavens and the skies. This shows us that no matter how difficult our situation is, God’s goodness is always there for us.
When David says, “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth,” he is worshiping God. He encourages us to look at God’s greatness instead of our problems. To exalt God means to lift Him up and put Him at the center of our lives. When we do this, we remember that God’s plans are bigger and better than ours. Worshiping God helps us see that He is in control and that He is always with us. This brings us peace and helps us trust Him more.
As we think about these verses, let’s remember how great our God is. Whether we are happy or going through hard times, we can always praise God. Let’s trust that He is with us – loving and faithful and worthy of all our worship.
