Deuteronomy 32:4 NKJV
“He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.”
This verse is from “The Song of Moses” found in Deuteronomy 32. In this verse, Moses reflects on the character of God and His relationship with the people of Israel. The song was a reminder to the Israelites of God’s faithfulness and justice, and the consequences of turning away from Him.
Moses proclaims that:
God is the Rock – A rock represents strength, stability and dependability. It is solid and unchanging, symbolizing God’s steadfastness and reliability. Christ is the firm foundation, a solid rock that remains unshakeable and hence, trustworthy.
God’s works are perfect – There is no flaw in God. His plans, actions, and purposes are without error. His work and purpose are always perfect.
All His ways are just – Our God is perfectly fair and impartial. His judgements are always true and good.
He is a God of truth – In Him, there is absolute truth. He does no wrong. God is a faithful promise keeper. He is trustworthy.
God is righteous and upright – He is morally straight and without fault.
Therefore, we can rely on God in all circumstances. Our strength and protection come from Him and Him alone. This verse encourages us to trust in God’s righteousness and faithfulness, lead a victorious life, and glorify His name always.
It also serves as a reminder of God’s holiness and justice, calling us to live in alignment with His character, knowing that He is always just, faithful, and true.
