Trust the Promise Keeper

2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV

“All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

Heraclitus, the ancient Greek philosopher, once famously proclaimed, “There is nothing permanent except change.” Other similar and familiar phrases are, “Change is the only constant” and “Change is inevitable”. Many times, people may change, our plans may change, expectations may change, attitudes may change, our priorities may change, and situations may change. But one thing that has never changed, either in the past, present, or future, is God’s promise to His children.

Apostle Paul reminds us about the faithfulness of God in today’s verse. Every promise He has made is fulfilled in Christ, demonstrating that God keeps His word, which we read from the scriptures. He has made a beautiful plan for us. The plan is to prosper us and not harm us. The process may look seemingly difficult and impossible, but trust in Him. He has never failed or lied. He is brewing something marvelous for you so you can experience the glory of God in your life.

From the promise of salvation to daily provision and guidance, Christ is our assurance that God’s plans for us are good and trustworthy. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7).

When we say “Amen,” we affirm God’s promises and declare our trust in Him. It’s a call for us to live confidently, knowing that what He has promised will come to pass in His perfect timing. Expect mighty things from Him because He is great and mighty in deeds.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for being a faithful God whose promises never fail. Strengthen my heart to hold onto Your promises with confidence. May my life declare Your glory. Teach me to rest in Your faithfulness and live in the hope that comes from knowing Your plans are perfect. Amen.
