Heartfelt Praises Without End

Psalm 30:12 CEV

“I thank you from my heart, and I will never stop singing your praises my Lord and my God.”

In a village, there lived a humble carpenter named Eli. He was known for his gentle heart and hands that shaped wood with love. He had many children in the village whom he cared for—teaching, helping, and guiding them—but he had one son named Micah, who lived with him.

Micah was neither the strongest nor the smartest. He often stumbled when learning to carve wood. Other children laughed when his birdhouses fell apart or his drawings smudged. But Eli would smile, lift his chin, and say, “My son, try again. I’m with you.” Growing up, his father’s favor and love did not make Micah proud, but strong. He knew his father did not love him for his performance, but for his identity.

So, what did Micah think of such a father?

He thought:
“If my father believes in me, I can face anything.
If he stays close, I will never be lost.
His love is not a reward—it is a foundation.
I don’t have to earn it. I just have to receive it.”

David did not experience God’s love because of his performance, but for his relationship with God. A man after God’s own heart. He had seen God coming through always. David knew that the Lord’s discipline is temporary, but His love is eternal. He acknowledged that his deliverance and victories were from God. Hence, with a heart filled with gratitude, he vowed to keep singing praises to the Most High.

Like David, let us consider the situations when our God delivered us, turned our mourning into dancing, and made the impossible possible. Let us recognize that He loves us, not for our performance but for who we are in Him. We receive His deep favor and unfailing love every passing day. So surely, His praises will never cease from our lips.
