Psalm 11:7 – For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
God’s business is putting things right.
We don’t see Jesus settling many disputes or negotiating conflicts. But we do see him cultivating inward harmony through acts of love:
- Washing the feet of men he knew would betray him.
- Honoring the sinful woman whom society had scorned.
- He built bridges by healing hurts.
As our country, India, celebrates 70 years of independence, can we think of any greater promise for those who seek to be righteous and just? We will see God face to face! Incredible. What a blessing! What a future! What an incredible Father! So let’s seek our Abba Father, the LORD God, with all heart and soul and mind and strength until that day that we get to see him as he is, face-to-face with God in all his glory (1 John 3:1-3).
Dear Father, Almighty King of the ages, thank you for your great and precious promises. Bless our land and heal it. We are confident that only your love and mercy can save India. We pray for all our decision-makers that they may experience a touch from you and exercise Your servant leadership skills. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Blessed Independence Day!
