Psalm 33:4-5

“The word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”

Psalm 33 declares the sovereignty of God in creation, yesterday, today, and forever. We know it is through His Word that everything came into existence. After creating the world, God said that it was good. He filled the whole earth with His goodness through creation.

Our words define who we are (Luke 6:45). The psalmist says that God’s Word reflects who He is and what He loves. Our God is good, true, righteous, and just; so are His words. His words are not limited to creation. His Word gives us life. It is the lamp for our feet in every passing moment and a light for the path of our life. Therefore, His Word is always a compass for our lives.

When we need guidance, direction, advice, or suggestions, let us remember to turn to His Word. Then surely, we will receive the right counsel, for His Word is good, true, righteous, and just; not evil or deceitful.

May Psalm 119:105 be the consistent refrain of our life. His Word should always be our lamp for every moment and our light for life.

Prayer:
Lord God, Your Word is right, and all that You do is filled with truth. Help me trust in Your Word completely, walk in Your truth, and seek justice and righteousness in my own life. Let my eyes be open to see Your goodness around me. May I always stand firm in Your truth, rejoicing in the knowledge that You are a just and loving God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
