Isaiah 60:1-2
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. “
Today’s scripture starts with “Arise, shine”. When could the situation be where one is asked to Arise and Shine? Instantaneously, we can think of two scenarios; One may be sleeping and not shining God’s light upon the world as we should; One is asked to Arise and Shine in this dark world to glorify His name.
We have to Arise and Shine as “Our light has come”. Who is this light? Jesus is our light (John 8:12). Through Him, the glory of the Lord rises upon us.
When His glory rises upon us, we enjoy the heavenly inheritance. His light dispels every darkness in and around us. Haven’t we experienced amazing victory when everything around us is sinking? There is no recession, no pandemic, no situation can stop a child of God from going from glory to glory through Him (2 Corinthians 3:18). Victory is not limited to materialism, through His Spirit we are being transformed to his image for the honor, praise, and glory of His name. Therefore, through Him let us arise and shine.
Blessed Day Ahead.
