John 14:13-14
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Jesus did not whisper this promise – He declared it with power: “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” This is not a vague hope or poetic metaphor. It is a divine guarantee backed by heaven’s authority. But this promise is not a blank cheque for selfish desires. It is a sacred invitation to partner with God’s purpose. When we ask in Jesus’ name, we align with His heart, His mission, and His glory.
Peter stood at the temple gate and said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” and the lame man leapt. Paul cast out demons and healed the sick in Jesus’ name. The early church prayed, preached, and suffered boldly, always calling on His name. These were not timid requests. They were declarations of faith backed by obedience.
The name of Jesus is not a magic word; it is a key. But keys only work when used. So use it. Ask in His name for healing, for courage, for wisdom, for breakthroughs. Ask for revival in your home, your city, and your generation. Then move. Pray in Jesus’ name, but also act in His name: speak life into weary hearts, forgive boldly even when it is hard, serve humbly without seeking applause, and love. Whether you are 17 or 70, your prayers in His name matter. Your voice shakes heaven, and your faith moves mountains.
Jesus wants to use your life – not to impress others, but to glorify the Father. So today, pray like Peter, believe like Paul, and walk like the early Church. Do not just wish, ask in His name. Instead of simply hoping, step forward and move in His name. Do not just dream, declare it boldly in His name.
Then watch Him move.
