Hebrews 10:35-36
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
Endurance and confidence are mandatory components of every success story we come across. Sometimes, we might feel like giving up or giving in to external pressures urging us to quit when we’re trying to focus on reaching our destiny. When we receive a promise from God, there certainly are forces acting against it, hindering us from reaching our destination. It is at such times that it is crucial to hold on to our confidence.
When Joseph faced the most hopeless situations and it might have seemed foolish to hold onto hope, he did not succumb. He chose not to let the negativity of his circumstances affect him, as it would steal the hope of his God-promised future. The sad reality is that not only is there an enemy out in the world, but our own thoughts and flesh can sometimes act against us and make us weak. Fighting the good fight and enduring through trials will help us rise as victors to inherit God’s promise for our lives.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for Your never-ending kindness and love that desires to bless us and uplift us. Today, help us hold on to our hope and never give up, for Your faithfulness never fails. Give us strength to endure what we go through to receive the reward in the end, as You have promised. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
