Ephesians 5:2 – “Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Another version of the same verse reads: “Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God”. (NIV).
It is interesting to note here that “walking in love” is being compared to “the love Christ has given us”.
But how do we walk in love or live a life of love? By being “imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children.” (Ephesians 5:1). The only way of living a life of love or walking in love, is by imitating Christ; by doing everything that He did; by being obedient to God; by loving one another as He loved us. Nothing impacts a human being more than His love, Godly love.
Love is what binds people together; it is the only thing that covers over a multitude of sins; it is the best legacy we can leave for our loved ones: Love for God and Love for one another.
Christ was, is and will always be the ultimate and only sacrifice accepted by God the Father, the perfect offering, unblemished, and fragrant to God. Amen!

Praise be to God
‘Live a life of love’, by being ‘imitators of God’, these key words of God’s agape love are exclusively for me. Thank you Heavenly Father for your love that nothing in this world can give. In fact, nothing can satisfy one’s soul, only the word that proceeds from the mouth of God alone can fully satisfy. I submit, surrender to your precious mighty hands. In Jesus’ matchless name I pray.
