2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) – “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
There are many instances in life where we’ve hoped for a second chance. A second chance to clean up mistakes. It may have been a school assignment, a broken relationship, or a past regret. Second chances usually help make things right. But there are some things that just cannot be made right—one of those things is sin.
No matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t do enough to make things right with God. There was nothing we could do or say to wipe out our sin. That’s why we needed Jesus. Jesus was able to do what we couldn’t. He was able to be the perfect offering for our sin, simply because sin was not in His nature. And because of His undying, reckless love for us, our relationship with God the Father was restored.
When we trust Christ Jesus whole-heartedly, at that moment, we make an exchange—our sin for His righteousness. Our sin was poured into Christ at His crucifixion. His righteousness is poured into us at our conversion. This is the meaning of Christ’s atonement.
In the world, bartering works only when two people exchange goods of equal quality. But God, is in His infinite goodness, offers to trade His righteousness for our sin—something of immeasurable worth for something completely worthless.
How grateful we should be for His lovingkindness.
Praise God Pastor, thank you wonderful for today’s promise of God.In our weaknesses, He perfected us. Though He is sinless, still He replaced His righteousness for the sin of the entire humanity.
Thank you loving Heavenly Father for your sacrificial, agape love. In the precious mighty name of Lord Jesus. Let’s pray. Amen
Amen..Praise to the LORD Almighty Loving Gracious Father GOD.
