Hebrews 11:6 – “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
According to the dictionary, faith is a ‘strong belief in God based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof’. According to the Apostle Paul, ‘faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see(Hebrews 11:1)’. Faith does not require proof, but relies on the hope of what we do not see.
Why is it impossible to please God without faith? Because without faith God does not exist, then how can we please Him? Our faith is essential for the materialization of our beliefs.
How do we please God? First, we believe, by faith, that He is God, that He exists, that Jesus Is Who He said He Is – then we please Him by loving and obeying Him.
We believe in the Invisible God: we do not see Him, but we believe, love and honour Him. We do not see Him with our natural eyes, but we see Him with our spiritual eyes. And the bridge between us and the Lord is our faith, which He freely gives us.
“I pray that God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will give Peace, Love – and Faith to every follower.” (Ephesians 6:23 CEV). Because without faith it is impossible to please Him. Amen!
