Exceedingly Abundantly More

Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

A child’s faith is a wonderful thing! They believe that wonders beyond our human limitations are possible with an all-powerful God. They ask God to bring them a new car (sometimes even with wings!). They ask God to deal with their school bully and make their Math homework disappear. This cannot just be chalked up to a vivid imagination, but faith that there is nothing impossible for God. According to Luke 1:37 AMP, “For with God nothing is ever impossible.” – no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Just as a parent knows what is good for their children, leave it to God to birth out of your prayers what is best for you!

Pause for a moment and dwell on Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Let’s look at Ephesians 3:20-21 in the Amplified version. “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory…” What is your greatest prayer, your greatest hope, your greatest dream? If you are walking with God, He has put these in you.

The chief purpose of our existence is to glorify and worship our deserving God. Through His Spirit that dwells in us, He can use us to bring glory to the matchless name of God. What man says is impossible is possible with God (Matthew 19:26). Hold fast to this faith that our God can do exceedingly, abundantly more than you can ask or think, for His glory, to all generations forever!
