Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Psalm 96:6
In Psalm 96:6, we are reminded of the splendour and majesty of our God. Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. As we meditate on these words, let us be drawn into a deeper awe and reverence for our Creator.
The Bible is full of descriptions of God’s majesty. In Job 37:22, we read, “Out of the north comes golden splendour; around God is awesome majesty.” This verse reminds us that God’s majesty is not just a concept but a reality that surrounds Him.
Charles Spurgeon, a renowned preacher, said, “God is so great that He is infinite, and yet so small that He can dwell within our hearts.” This quote beautifully captures the paradox of God’s majesty and His intimate presence in our lives.
When we enter into His sanctuary, whether it be a physical place of worship or the quietness of our hearts, we can experience His strength and beauty. In His presence, we find refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1) and are transformed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Let us take a moment today to pause and reflect on the majesty of our God. Let us allow His strength and beauty to fill our hearts and minds, drawing us closer to Him.
