Psalm 145:1 – “I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.”
‘I will extol’ – the meaning of ‘extol’ is to praise enthusiastically or to PRAISE ENTHUSIASTICALLY!!!! Everything we say with enthusiasm deserves exclamation points, and the Lord is definitely deserving of our most enthusiastic praises!
Our praises need to be full of joy, volume, energy, sentiment, intention, feeling and creativity! Our praises need to lift the name of the Lord who reigns now, and who will reign forever and ever! True, the effect is more modest if we are alone but gather a few disciples with you, then see and experience the impact your praises have.
The praises from our lips need to magnify our God, our King, our Savior; bless and lift the name of Jesus now and forever. In Psalm 146:10, we read, “The Lord reigns forever” where the verb ‘reigns’ is mentioned in the present tense, which means that Jesus IS reigning already in eternity. It also means our praises are heard now and will be heard in eternity! Amen!
“Praise the Lord, all you nations; EXTOL Him, all you peoples. For great is His love towards us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.” (Psalm 117).
EXTOL THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE KING!!!
