He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” – John 3:36
Many of us work in secular or religious organizations. Every organization has a vision or a mission statement. The best performers are often the ones who are aligned to the vision and mission of the company. They understand the central belief system of the company.
If we meditate on the above verse, we can understand that this verse is a belief system. It is the belief system that a person needs to inculcate to achieve eternal life. It is not just believing in the existence of the Lord Jesus Christ. But, our entire lives should be based on the understanding that we as humans were separated from the holiness and the presence of God. And our only hope of redemption from the separation is believing that we have a savior who is God who came as a man to save us.
This scripture reminds us that not believing this wonderful plan of salvation by God will bring the wrath of God. The wrath of God is not against us but the sins in our lives.
Today, let us believe in this promise of everlasting life through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
