Isaiah 43:1: But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (KJV).
God wants His children to feel safe and loved, much like an earthly parent. It has been said that the word “fear not” has been found 365 times in the Bible. It can be inferred from this that God speaks everyday to His children not to fear and to simply put their trust in Him. God has redeemed us and has called us by name. He declares that we are His or that we belong to Him.
We usually call our close accomplices by their names. God loves to be in an intimate relationship with us. He loves to call us, His children, by our names. He wants us to trust Him fully and be done with fear. We can here very safely picturize in our mind of a loving dad putting his arms around his children and telling them not to fear as he will always be there for them no matter what. God has redeemed us through His Son, Jesus Christ. That is why God claims His ownership over us.
Because we belong to God, the enemy of our soul cannot snatch us away. He cannot be dumping those dreadful diseases or sins onto us. He cannot be feeding our minds with negative and vain thoughts. God says He created us and He is the one who formed us. We have nothing to fear or be scared of. Walk your life of faith and trust in God. Through God, we shall do valiantly.
