Psalms 18:49
Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name.
David offered this hymn of gratitude for his deliverance from the hand of Saul and all his other enemies. He reflected on God’s protection over his entire reign and the fugitive years.
In stressful times, office and personal circumstances have negatively impacted people. In these tough situations, who do we turn to for help? Our ultimate help comes from God. Psalm 121:2 says, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Like David in the Psalms, we should look to Jesus, from whom all help comes. David reflected on God’s hand in his victories, recognized God’s control in the midst of catastrophe, and praised Him among the people.
People are not ashamed to talk about who or what they like, or their preferences. However, many believe that their faith is a private matter and should not be ‘pushed’ onto other people. They do not want to offend anyone or make anyone think differently about them.
God has done various good things in our lives. The world needs to hear what God is doing and how great He is in our lives. As the world hears these testimonies, some will choose to believe in Jesus and be saved. Everyone can be a witness by sharing what God is doing in their own life.
Prayer: Lord, help me to give thanks openly for what You have done in my life. I will not be ashamed of my story or of Your work in me. I choose to share the gospel, and I will speak of Your love to those in need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
