Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
How can we glorify our God in Heaven? We glorify Him through our words and actions. Our actions must be exemplary, our thoughts pure, befitting of what we have been taught in the Holy Bible. When we behave in a way that glorifies God, we set an example for the people around us. We should be sincere, faithful, full of love, courageous, full of integrity as we have been taught to be through the Gospel.
We must share, the teaching and knowledge we have received by reading the word of God, with others. We must be the light that shines among men and lead them to our God. Our actions and words must stand apart and others will be eager to know what sets us apart. They should know that it is God and his works in our life that makes us different. They should know of His love and His faithfulness and His teachings. A love that is unconditional and unchanging.
Dear God, thank you for choosing me to be your light in the world. May I honor and glorify your name through my actions and my words. May I spread your Gospel to the world so that more people may know about you and your love. Help me to be strong Lord to be able to follow your word and your teachings. Amen.
