Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
All of us who belong to the Lord, were preordained and chosen for God`s purpose. What does this mean? It means that we have been created and called with a divine purpose in mind. We are here to do God`s work and serve Him through our works. The above verse emphasizes on the fact that we as God`s chosen one must uncompromisingly and incessantly carry out and complete the good work that God has started in our lives.
It may not always be convenient and comfortable for us to answer our calling but we should not be discouraged. Moreover, this should not be the reason for any of us to give up on our divine purpose or our calling.
We must also remember that God has authority over each one of us and we report to Him alone. Our help comes from Him and our reward comes from Him. God reveals to us that all our hard work and struggle here on earth while we continue to walk in obedience to His work and His word will not go unnoticed and will be duly rewarded.
This verse comes as a promise from God for all those who work for the extension of His kingdom here on earth. What a blessed assurance we have from Christ. Let us continue to do God`s work with a smile and look forward to our reward which is from Him.
