God is Good

Psalm 34:8 (NKJV): Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Think about this, what is your favorite song? How did that become your favorite song? Did it become your favorite because someone else told you or you read that it was a good song? Or did it become your favorite song because you heard it and you loved it? To know whether we like something or not we need to experience it. What others say or do, may influence our decision but it is finally our experience through which we take the decisions of our likes and dislikes.

In the same way, to know God, we must experience God and have a personal relationship with Him. How do we experience God? We experience God by talking to Him through our prayers and by reading His Word. When we read the word of God and submit to Him, He reveals Himself to us and we know that He is good. No matter what trials and tribulations we are going through, our good God is always with us holding our hand to get us through them. He has a plan and purpose for our lives. His plans are for us to prosper.

When we experience the goodness of God, we trust Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior and He blesses us. He forgives our iniquities, provides for us in abundance, protects us from trials and temptations, and chooses us as His children so that we may have everlasting life through Jesus Christ.
