Jeremiah 32:41 – “Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.”
The Israelites were God’s chosen people. He delivered them from slavery and brought them to the Promised Land. He forgave their sins when they rebelled, and showed them mercy over and over again. Yet, they chose turn their backs on God and sought Him only when they needed something from Him.
As a chosen generation that believes in Jesus, we may think we’re not like the Israelites. But often, we make poor choices just like they did. We bow to the graven images of our smartphones and social media, rather than worshiping the Lord with all our heart. We miss spending time with God on busy mornings, choosing to get some work done instead. Our relationship with God deepens only when we’re facing challenges and direly need His help.
However, in spite of all our unfaithfulness, God remains faithful. He rejoices to do good to His children. He delights in establishing us according to His will. If you’ve been wondering where God is, do check your heart. He is a faithful Father who never leaves His children. You only need to seek Him with all your heart. Spend time with God and listen to what He’s whispering through His word. When you seek the Lord, you will find Him. And you’ll find true joy and peace that will enable you to rest in His everlasting promises for you.
This meditation has been such a blessing .! Yes we are all guilty of spending more time on FB and WhatsApp than time alone with the Lord.May we be inspired to love and serve the Lord with all our hearts.May the Lord bless your service and ministry for Him
