Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. – Proverbs 3:13-14
Proverbs 3:13-14 advises us to seek wisdom diligently to be happy for wisdom proceeds are better than any treasure we can imagine. Here the wisdom spoken is not our wisdom but God’s wisdom. He is the source of Godly wisdom, we have to derive it from God through prayer as advised in James 1: 5. When we desire His wisdom He will surely give generously.
Godly wisdom is essential to lead a life in God’s way.
- We have to make every effort to receive Godly wisdom
- We have to grow in her. We have to gain Godly knowledge and understanding continuously
- We have to use her for good.
- We must lay hold on her.
- We must sustain her and embrace her with all our might.
Godly wisdom gives us transcendent happiness, more than can be found in the wealth of this world, she is more precious and profitable than silver and gold. Therefore, Let us seek Godly wisdom diligently and lead a life honoring and glorifying His holy name.
