God’s Unconditional Love for You

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To love and to be in love is a beautiful feeling. It gives us a reason to wake up with a smile. Love motivates us to go the extra mile. It awakens poetry, inspires generosity, and adds purpose to our lives. Love encourages us to keep our promises and compels us to protect, sacrifice, and fight for the ones we cherish. For love’s sake, a good parent even becomes the “bad guy” to discipline a child.

Yet human love is strange. On one hand, it comforts; on the other, it hurts. Often, our love is a mixture of fear, selfishness, and fatigue. Unconsciously, we try to control and manipulate the reciprocation of our love. No wonder we struggle to understand God’s love.

Human love is imperfect. In contrast, God is perfect, and so is His love. We often love when it benefits us. But God chose to love us even at the ultimate cost – His only Son. Why? The answer is found in Jeremiah 31:3: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Unlike our love, God’s love is unconditional, pure, and holy.

Friends, we all face seasons in our lives when God feels distant. We may misinterpret this as His anger and assume that He is punishing us or keeping a record of our wrongs. But this is far from the truth. There is absolutely nothing in the universe that can stop God from loving you. Do you know why? Because His love does not depend on you. You read that right. It is not dependent on your performance, your thoughts, the time you give Him, or even your worship. He loves you because He chooses to. Let this truth sink in.

God loves you unconditionally. During this season of Lent, let’s meditate not on how we love God, but on His everlasting love for us. Let it transform the way we love.

So true, it is cent percent. no one can deny it. God’s unconditional – the agape love is pure and holy. it’s not like three other types of love eros, philia and storge, which stays for a reason and season. God’s Agape love is forever and forever.
