He Is Ready, Are We?

1 Peter 5:4 (NKJV) – and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

We are living in the world of uncertainty. The most learned men among us are also not certain about how things would turn out. The vaccines, the weather reports, the governments, the kings, the laws…everything changes, nothing is certain. The very relationships among humans are no less, we keep hearing about break ups or divorces so commonly these days.

In such uncertain times, we are so blessed to have an unchanging God who is the same yesterday, today & forever (Hebrews 13:8). He not just gives us a hope of eternal life, but He is ready, waiting to reward us with a crown of glory after our earthly life. This crown is not a rolling trophy that gets passed on and it’s not a mere metal that depreciates its value; this never fades away. It is a recognition by our Father appreciating our efforts while on the earth.

It just can’t get any better! Think about this…we have Holy Spirit to help us live our everyday lives by guiding, protecting & providing for us; and then we have the Father God waiting to reward us after our earthly life; and then we have His promise of an eternal life living with Him.

What more can we ask for! Let us just thank Him with all our heart, live a life according to Him, serve passionately in His kingdom, prepare ourselves and be ready to receive our crown and live with Him forever in the eternity.
