Healing and Comfort from the LORD

Psalm 41:3 – The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. (KJV)

The Lord of Hosts, the Lord Almighty, the Lord of Armies, the One who created all agencies and forces; who rules over every power, material and spiritual, who made and maintains everything and who has promised to never leave us or forsake us will also be with us in our bed of languishing, our bed of sickness, our bed of death.  Our bed of sickness could signify our sin; our bed of death could signify spiritual death, a hard and unforgiving heart.

But our Lord in his infinite mercy assures us that he will strengthen and equip us with what we need, to go thru every difficult situation in our lives.  In sickness, the LORD will be our strength, he will bring us healing, he will soften our bed, he will comfort and sustain us. He will change our situation according to the perfect plan he has for us.  He will restore us to health, prop us up with his careful hands, pardon our sin and bring us spiritual healing.

What is your bed of sickness? Is it a difficult situation, or stress, or worry, a difficult boss, or health issues, or financial debt, an unforgiving heart, or sin, or loss? Know that our Lord and Savior will be there to change your situation. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18).

Allow God’s goodness, mercy and grace to penetrate every part of your being, so that your bed of languishing will turn into a bed of comfort, of love, of peace and joy.
