Isaiah 30:21 – And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “ This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. (KJV)
Have you ever been in a situation when you do not know what to do; or in an unknown road or place, when similarly you do not know which way to turn to?
When we are lost, the satellite resources available to us today can help lead us to the right location. When it comes to our lives, our right choices can have a good result, or, we can dearly suffer the consequences of a wrong one.
Our God is such a loving and caring Father, that he gently guides us in the way we should go. When we go astray, He leaves ninety-nine behind to come and fetch us. He then calls us, and in order for us to hear his voice, our ears must be attentive to his calling. Sometimes it could be the audible voice of a pastor, a friend; sometimes, the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit.
In this verse, the voice is heard “behind” us. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, follows us, calls us, and we, his own sheep hear his voice calling and saying “This is the way, walk in it.” The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life, I will advise you and watch over you.” (NLT) “I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (NIV)
Be sure to hear our LORD’s voice when he commands behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it.”
Thank you for this message from the Word of God. I strongly believe that when we completely surrender ourselves to the Lord, our aimless, goalless and directionless life becomes transformed into a guided and carefully led life that the Lord delights in! Ive been there, done that so I knoe that what I am today is because of the Lord’s presence and direction in my life .. Thank you Jesus for you loving care. Amen
