Psalm 10:14
“But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.”
We’d love life to always be sunshine and rainbows, with plenty of reasons to smile and never frown. But the reality is that as long as we’re in this world, we tend to face all kinds of trouble and grief. Yet, we’re not without hope. We know that our Lord Jesus Christ sees what we’re going through. God hasn’t left us without help in our trials. He is our Helper.
A father is considered an authority figure who makes wise decisions and steps in when his son or daughter needs a helping hand. Not many of us have fathers who can fulfill that role in our lives – either because they’re no longer with us or because they’re limited in what they can do. But even in those situations, we have a Heavenly Father who’s able to step in and carry out His responsibilities on our behalf.
The next time you find yourself worrying about how you’ll get through something without anyone to help you, remember that you’re not alone. Your Heavenly Father is with you – He’s promised to be your help in times of need. He knows what you’re going through and it will not be in vain. Don’t grow weary in your faith. God will bless you and return to you all that you’ve lost.
