2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

As we reach the end of the year, 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us of our transformation. This verse tells us that with unveiled faces, we see the Lord’s glory and become more like Him. Jesus removes the barrier between us and God. Now, we experience His presence directly and continually transform into His image. This transformation brings us closer to His likeness and reflects His glory in our lives.

Looking back on this year, we see God’s presence in every success, struggle, and quiet moment. As a result, we thank Him for His faithfulness. We recognize the times He revealed Himself to us. His presence was evident, whether through answered prayers, a job, or lessons learned during tough times. Each part of our journey shows His work in our lives. Often, we felt the Lord holding our hands and guiding us through.

In fact, the phrase “from glory to glory” means God’s plan for us is always moving forward. As the new year begins, this verse gives us hope. No matter where we are now, God has greater things planned for us. We trust that God will complete the work He started in us (Philippians 1:6). By focusing on His glory – through reading the Bible, praying, and worshiping – we embrace this ongoing change.

Finally, let’s fill our hearts with gratitude for His constant faithfulness. As we step into the new year, let God’s light guide our path. Our transformation is part of His eternal plan, encouraging us to welcome the new year with thankfulness and renewed purpose. Let’s walk boldly into the future He has prepared, confident in His promises and unfailing love.
