Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today’s verse offers hope for anyone feeling weary or uncertain—the God of hope is with you right now. He fills you with joy and peace as you trust Him.
God is the Source of Hope: When life feels uncertain or heavy, this verse reminds us that our hope is anchored in a God who never fails. He is “the God of hope” because His nature is to give us a confident expectation of good things to come.
Joy and Peace Come Through Believing: Connection and relationship with Jesus fills us with joy and peace. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1). We need to trust God’s process and work out our faith every day. When we choose to believe God’s promises—even when we don’t see the outcome yet—He fills our hearts with a deep conviction and peace that the world cannot give.
Abound in Hope: “Abound” means overflowing, more than enough. God wants us to have hope that overflows in our lives and flows to others around us. This is a confident assurance rooted in His faithfulness.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit: This hope isn’t human effort. It’s the Holy Spirit who strengthens us, lifts our hearts, and reminds us of God’s truth when we feel weak. As Jesus said, the Spirit will guide us into all truth (John 16:13).
Today, let the Holy Spirit breathe fresh hope into your soul—hope that overflows and lights up your day.
