Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth convenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.
Do we remember how many times the Lord has kept his promises over our lives? Do we remember the many times he fed us and kept us warm and safe?
Love is defined in a very twisted word today in the world that we live. We define love in many ways. A child will define love in a very different way in comparison with that of an adult. An adult of 30 will define love very differently then that of a 60 year old man/ woman. As we grow older we learn to define love differently. How does a man or a woman feel for his partner? How does a child profess his/ her love for his parent? How is love symbolic of our lives?
Jesus lived a life of love. Every thing he did on earth for the time he had he did it out of love. We serve others and sometimes ourselves cause we find pleasure or comfort or some form of profit. Do we really love?
Love unquestionably, unconditionally, blindly and wholesomely. Love alters and changes the deepest scar for all. But only if we know the love of God can we know how to love. Love God with all your might and you will learn how to love your neighbor. Ask the Lord and he will answer in ways where at times you will need to be silent, let go of your ego, shame your flesh, crucify your desires – and yet in all of these small sacrifices you will have made; he will have taught you LOVE.
