Know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him. Psalm 4:3
There’s no getting around the fact that we all live in a puzzling world. We have so much more to deal with today than we ever did before- but is this all? Well, the truth is there is so much more to life than what meets the eye. Yes, ideally our lives cannot be mindless, insignificant or meaningless when there is so much to catch up with and make a living.
But sometimes with all this bustle around, we can easily get swayed with this tide of new age practices, beliefs, trends, and opinions. So for all those addicted to routines and schedules, or maybe just moving too fast through life, STOP! As Christians, our life is all about remembrance. Remembering who God is, who God called us to be. Psalm 4:3 talks about the identity God gives His children. As we begin to spend time with God and embrace our God-given identity, we experience the stillness, solitude and the peace He wants for us.
Continually seek God and His ways, pursue righteousness and be holy. In our God-given identity, we find our purpose, meaning, and provision. So now with God in the picture, everything changes- no more running like a headless chicken, no more posing, posturing or, pleasing for that promotion. All we ought to do is walk in the ways of our Lord, Jesus Christ who always leads us in triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14).
We are more than conquer. As the scripture says, our heavenly father is a king of kings. And we are his children.
